The Opinicon Knit Weekend is a new kind of knitting retreat focused on connecting yarn lovers together to enjoy the art of knitting while breathing in the beauty of autumn. Instead of heavily scheduled expensive classes, this retreat is centred around fun KAL's where participants can bring in whatever project they like, and learn from each other as we share our favourite obsession. We are able to keep costs down this way making this a fun and affordable retreat.
The price of the retreat is the cost of renting your cabin plus the costs of the Tiki Cocktail Welcome KAL ($15). Sharing a cabin with friends can save you even more money! You are booked into the retreat simply by booking your cabin. The Opinicon Resort's cabins are newly renovated, clean, modern accommodations with historic charm. They can accommodate single individuals, couples, and groups of up to 12. When you call to book your your cabin you will be asked if you will be joining the optional Saturday High Tea KAL ($20). That's it! If your booked in a cabin, you are booked into the retreat. *

* Saturday & Sunday breakfasts are included in the cottage rentals. Other meals were not added to the cost of the retreat, so participants can chose to save money by bringing their own food. Each cabin has a fridge and coffee maker (not a full kitchen). However, if you would really like a treat the food at the Opinicon Pub & Dining Room are reasonably priced, fresh, and locally sourced as much as is possible.
